The hope they'll be able to restore in the kids at Bethany's Gait after showing them that you can actually do something this epic will be priceless.

Too often we're told to fit in, to do what's 'normal'.  This is a flagrant dismissal of that attitude.  This is getting back to dreaming, to desiring to be part of something bigger.  This is the sort of thinking, and doing, people need to get back to.
